The eye lands on the lettering first: NEW YORK, stacked in orange across the chest, with KNICKS set beneath it in a cooler blue. Everything else in the composition arranges itself around that block of type.
Design Story
This is a study in restraint held together by two colors. Deep navy panels dominate the body, quilted through the shoulder, while a brighter blue takes over the sleeves and creates a clear color-block break at the shoulder line. Thin orange piping traces the seams like a drawn outline, and a round basketball badge sits low on the chest as a secondary focal point. Ribbed striping at the collar, cuffs and hem repeats the navy-and-orange rhythm, closing the composition. The wearer stands still, sunglasses on, chin turned away from the camera \Uffffffff no motion, just presence.
Layering & Wear
As a jacket, the layout works because it respects the garment. Type lives on the front panel where it reads at a distance, the contrast sleeves lengthen the silhouette, and the striped collar and cuffs frame the whole piece. Worn open over a plain white tee, it becomes the visual anchor of an otherwise quiet outfit \Uffffffff a statement layering piece rather than a background one.
